Senior packets available for pickup at MHS

Graduates from the class of 2008 or their parents can pick up their senior packets at the Central Office Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon. The packets include the student's diploma, transcripts and more.

Mustang Board of Education discusses proposed drug testing policy at special meeting

The Mustang Board of Education discussed a proposed drug testing policy at last night’s special board meeting. They have 30 days to consider the policy and make recommendations to administrators. The policy will be on the agenda for a July 23 special meeting.

The school’s current policy recommends drug testing only in cases of reasonable suspicion. The proposed policy would implement a random drug test at the Mid-High and Mustang High School in 2008-2009 for approximately 20 percent of students participating in extracurricular activities and for juniors and seniors who drive to school. The policy would be reimplemented in 2009-2010 for all students in extracurricular activities and those who drive to school. The proposed policy would work in conjunction with the current policy; it would not replace it.
